Overall, I enjoyed the Oscar Valladares Super Fly Super Corona. Since then, Ashton has been bringing different versions of San Cristobal to the market every few years. If you really want a flavour experience with this cigar, you can smoke it real slow. The brand started in 2007 when Ashton diversified and released its first Nicaraguan cigar. A consistently pleasurable smoke for all cigar lovers, the Ashton Classic has a medium body with nuances of peppery spice. The draw was fantastic, with just the right amount of resistance. Made using fine black leather gives it a stylish look. Basically perfect, with no touch-ups required. A clean-cut cigar case for aficionados who are on the go. The burn on the cigar was very good from start to finish. The strength is full and this continues right to the very end. As the cigar comes to a close, the bitterness has eased up and it’s now super strong earth and wood. The final third continues on with the earth and wood, while the bitterness has gone away. The strength in this third bumped up to slightly above medium it’s ramping up and I can tell this finish is going to be rocket powered. All of the components are at an equal level and the overall flavours are really quite thought provoking.Īs the third comes to a close, some wood and pleasant bitterness rejoin the earth tone. ![]() The second third continues on with the wood, black pepper and earth notes, while a slight bitterness has joined in.
